It was a great day in Claxton today! “Fox Gives,” the community partnerships initiative of the The Fox Theatre, traveled to Claxton, Georgia to award a grant to the The Arts & Cultural Authority of Claxton-Evans County, as work continues on the restoration of the original Claxton High School. “Fox Gives” has provided over $125,000 in grants for this project. This is an important project for the community, as it will provide a place of learning and creative expression for the citizens of Evans County and surrounding communities.
This latest check presentation represents the second grant they have given to the Authority. The first preservation grant was for $69,100 and this latest one was for $57,400. Thanks to everyone who came out for the event!
